On April 13, 2021, the representativesof University Putra Malaysia visited JXVTC for discussing on international cooperation.

Mr. Zhang Bin, the Director ofInternational Coordination(China Mainland) briefly updated the  profile of University Putra Malaysia(abbreviatedas UPM): UPM, a leading research university in Malaysia is located in Serdang, next to Malaysia’s administrative capital city; As a world renowned centre oflearning and research, UPM has attracted students and staff from all around theworld making it a well- respected global entity. In 2021, UPM is ranked 132 in QS world university ranking. UPM’s preponderant majors are Big data,Business & Management and Agriculture.

Oriented by the MOU signed on May of2020, the both sides plan to carry out the internationalcoope

ration in thethree following aspects:

1. Shortterm exchange program for the students

2. Visitingscholar program

3. Furtherstudy for Doctorate in UPM

The cooperation with UPM seems to be asignificant commencement which offers the international exchange and continuousstudy not only to students but also to the teachers of JXVTC. Moreover,Malaysia as the country along with Belt and Road, the further cooperation mightbring more possibilities for JXVTC’s internationalization in post-pandemic era.
